Intermediary service. Payment goes directly to the store owner through the payment provider they connected; aDonate's 6% fee is paid by the owner and is not added to the price. The store owner is the seller under the contract and is responsible for the product and its delivery.
Cookies are small records a site saves in the browser and receives back with every request to its address. Besides cookies, the site uses browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage): those records stay on the device and are not sent to the server by themselves.
This policy describes which records the aDonate site, the control panel and the storefronts on the service's addresses keep, why they are needed, how long they are kept and how to delete them. Personal data processing as a whole is described in the privacy policy.
The service sets only its own strictly necessary cookies: without them nobody can sign in to the control panel or to a store account with Steam. Page scripts cannot see them, and the browser sends them only over a secure connection and only to the address that issued them.
The service sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies and shares no cookies with third parties. Necessary cookies serve what the visitor asks for, so the site does not ask for separate consent to them.
| Name | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|
__Host-adonate_session | Keeps a store owner signed in to the control panel. | Until sign-out, at most 30 days |
__Host-adonate_player | Keeps a player signed in to a store with Steam: a signed record of the SteamID64, profile name and avatar. | Until sign-out, at most 30 days |
__Host-adonate_steam_state | Protects the Steam sign-in from being swapped while the player confirms it on Steam's page. | 15 minutes |
The cart, the chosen currency, the store's look and the control panel's drafts are kept in the browser so that they survive a page reload. Storage records stay until deleted, session records until the tab is closed.
These records do not leave the device until the visitor sends them, for example by placing an order from the cart. This site's records can be deleted with the button in the “Data controls” section below or in the browser settings.
| Name | Purpose | Kept |

adonate:last-order-v1 | The last order's number, to return to it after payment. | Until you delete it |
adonate:consent-v1 | Your decision on marketing analytics. | Until you delete it |
adonate:admin-preferences-v1 | The control panel's language, currency and notification sound. | Until you delete it |
adonate:admin-v1adonate:account-extras-v1 | Control panel drafts that are not on the server yet. | Until you delete it |
adonate:campaign | The tags of the advertising link the site was opened from (utm_source and the like). | Until the tab is closed |
adonate:reset-email | The address typed on the sign-in page, for the password reset page; removed as soon as it is read. | Until the tab is closed |
No third-party counters, advertising pixels or web analytics systems are connected to the aDonate site or the service's storefronts. The tags of an advertising link are kept only in the open tab and reach external analytics systems only if the visitor has allowed it in the “Data controls” section.
If the service connects analytics that uses cookies, this policy will be updated before that happens, and optional cookies will be set only after the visitor's consent. Declining them will not affect purchases or the control panel.
The payment provider's pages, Steam's sign-in page and the sites that links lead to set their own cookies under their own rules; the service neither reads nor manages them. The site's fonts are loaded from the service's addresses. Pictures and videos a store owner added by an external link are loaded by the browser from that site.
A store owner may add their own code to the storefront, such as a visit counter. That code runs in an isolated frame and cannot read the service's cookies and records. If it connects external services, they may set their own cookies: the store owner is responsible for such code and its compliance with the law.
The button in the “Data controls” section below deletes this site's records: it clears browser storage and ends the Steam sign-in on this address. Any cookies can also be deleted or blocked in the browser settings.
If cookies are blocked, signing in to the control panel and with Steam will not work; the storefront and the product catalogue can still be browsed without them. After the browser is cleared, the cart and the storefront settings start afresh.
A new revision is published on this page with its date. When the service starts using a new cookie or browser record, the list on this page is updated before it is used.
Send questions about cookies and browser data to the address for data enquiries on the “Seller and operator” page. The rights of the data subject are described in the privacy policy.
